1. Warranty periods
The stated period is measured from the date specified in the written warranty or sales documents. Different components, support structures, accessories, custom work or third-party products may have different coverage.
2. UV resistance and colour change
Products are UV-stabilised to improve resistance to sun-related colour change. UV resistance does not mean that outdoor material can never weather, fade or vary in colour. Exposure intensity, direction, altitude, climate, reflected heat, pollution, cleaning products, installation and maintenance can affect appearance over time.
3. What the warranty covers
Coverage is limited to the defects, conditions and remedies described in the written warranty supplied with the order. The website does not create an additional guarantee or expand the written warranty.
4. Items commonly assessed during a claim
A warranty assessment may consider proof of purchase, the product and batch, indoor or outdoor use, installation method, support condition, environmental exposure, care and cleaning, modifications, accidental damage and whether reasonable access for inspection is provided.
5. Exclusions and normal changes
Normal weathering, dirt, staining, minor colour variation, damage caused by misuse, fire or excessive heat, harsh chemicals, animals, vandalism, severe weather, unstable structures, unauthorised alterations or installation contrary to supplied guidance may fall outside coverage, depending on the written warranty and applicable law.
6. Making a claim
Email karen@hedgescape.co.za or contact HedgeScape on WhatsApp. Include your name, invoice or quotation reference, installation date, location, a description of the concern and clear photographs. HedgeScape may request further information or an inspection before deciding the claim.
7. Remedies and consumer rights
Any approved remedy will be determined under the written warranty and applicable law. Nothing on this page removes or limits rights that a consumer has under South African law where those rights cannot lawfully be excluded.
Fire-performance wording
Terms such as “flame-retardant” or “heat-retardant” do not mean that a product is fireproof, non-combustible or suitable for every regulated environment. Where fire performance matters, obtain the test report or certificate for the exact product and confirm the requirements with the relevant professional, landlord, estate, insurer or authority before installation.
